Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026 · Applies to the Paw Map India Android app

These terms govern your use of Paw Map India (the "app"). By creating an account, you agree to them.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Paw Map. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

What Paw Map is — and isn't

Paw Map is a community coordination tool. It helps feeders, shelters, NGOs and vets find each other and see where care is already happening. It does not itself rescue, treat, or transport animals, and it does not guarantee that any report, request, or emergency will be responded to. Response depends entirely on the community using the app.

Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
  • Some registration details — such as your registered name, and a shelter's registered location — are locked after signup to keep listings trustworthy on the shared map. Review these carefully before submitting.
  • You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Account Deletion).

Acceptable use

When using Paw Map, you agree to:

  • Submit genuine, accurate information — feeding check-ins, shelter/vet details, emergency reports, and support requests should reflect real situations.
  • Only confirm "I'm treating this" or a volunteer signup if you're genuinely able and intending to follow through — other users rely on that confirmation.
  • Respect the emergency reporting limit (currently 3 reports per day per account), which exists to keep the map usable for genuine cases.
  • Not use the app to harass, impersonate, defraud, or misrepresent yourself to another user.
  • Not attempt to access another user's account, interfere with the app's operation, or extract data beyond what's shown to you in normal use.

Verified badge

Shelters and vets may submit registration documents for review to receive a "Verified" badge on their listing. We aim to review submissions promptly, but the badge reflects document review only — it is not a guarantee of the quality of care provided.

Content you submit

You retain ownership of the check-ins, listings, reports, and messages you submit. By submitting them, you allow Paw Map to display them within the app as intended (for example, showing your shelter's listing on the map, or your emergency report to nearby responders).

No warranty

Paw Map is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular shelter, vet, or volunteer will respond to a given report or request.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paw Map and its developer are not liable for any harm, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app, including reliance on another user's response (or lack of response) to a report, request, or emergency.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
